The Nut Lover is a local Barbadian brand which makes ALL NATURAL nut butters including smooth almond, smooth peanut, crunchy peanut and honey peanut. I first tried their almond butter as I was on a quest to find a natural one at that time – Feb 2019 – which I have since used in many of my breakfasts.
I am featuring the almond butter in two of my regular breakfast faves: oats and pancakes. Of course I included the recipes for you too. 😉
This almond butter is rich in flavour with a texture so creamy it adds a welcomed punch to my breakfasts and snacks. The almond flavour is definitely not missed. As described on the packaging – it is SMOOTH for sure!
Here are my oats topped with a homemade strawberry syrup, banana and The Nut Lover almond butter.
For the oats:
- 1/2 cup of oats
- 1/2 cup of water (if you like a looser oats texture you may want to add an additional 1/4 cup of water)
- 1/2 cup of coconut milk
- 1/2 cup of frozen or fresh strawberries + 2/3 tblsp of maple syrup + 2 tblsp of water = boil for about 5 minutes.
- 1/2 banana chopped
- Drizzled with The Nut Lover almond butter

These beauts are drizzled with The Nut Lover almond butter, 1/2 of a banana, 1 tblsp of melted semi-sweet chocolate (warmed in the microwave for 40 seconds (no butter), the time will differ depending on your microwave, I would recommend putting it on for 30 seconds first), I then drizzled with 1 tblsp of maple syrup. Of course nutella would pair fabulously as well in place of the semi-sweet chocolate.
