Prohibition Restaurant and Speakeasy is a modern, cozy lounge and restaurant located in Midtown Miami. One night my roommate Zoe and I decided to look for a fun new restaurant to try, and we came across this gem, which introduced me to Truffle Oil…the beginning of life itself. We got all dolled up one Friday night, and upon entering the restaurant, it had a very intimate setting with dim lighting, but it was a full house, and the sweet aromas from the open kitchen consumed the dining room.
Almost immediately after scanning the menu, we decided this was going to be one of our love/hate signature “fat nights”, so we went for the Truffle Lobster Mac and Cheese, and Parmesan Truffle Fries. Firstly, I LOVE Lobster and I LOVE Mac and Cheese, so there was no way this enticing combo was escaping my anxious and excited palette. The Mac and Cheese was a baked rigatoni with their signature mix of three-cheese blend, lobster, and truffle oil. This oil added a rich flavor, and a decadent, silky texture to the dish, which made love to my taste buds on every s-i-n-g-l-e bite. Let’s just say I didn’t want it to end… The Truffle oil also significantly enhances the flavor of just normal French Fries along with the Parmesan Cheese. (Although I had to request more cheese because lets be honest, there is no such thing as too much cheese 🙂 )
I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant and trying their house favorite – Truffle Lobster Mac and Cheese. You’re life will get just a little bit better with this bowl of infinite happiness.
FYI this trendy spot also turns into a night club upstairs, if you’re looking to dine and party in the same place.
